Most of the squares you see are made of a pretty sturdy material. However, one set of squares (the squares just inside the dark pink circle) are a thin cotton. Over time, they have ripped away from the darker pink squares, leaving small holes all around the quilt. Today I sewed them up.
While I was doing that, I noticed that there were some stains on the quilt, so I washed it as well. It's now clean and ready for me to use again.
It will be cool enough to use the blanket soon, won't it?
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, it already is. :) We're in the middle of a week of rain, and it's quite cold out. (Not freezing, but the kind of weather where you definitely need a jacket to go outside.) I turned the heat on today, actually.
ReplyDeleteOur heat came on for the first time today - it's really cool here. However, I miss cuddling under a blanket with TV - our apartment is way, way too hot all winter. It's a regular beach blanket bingo over here.
ReplyDeleteJust in time for the new tv season.
ReplyDeleteSydney, I am lucky that I have never lived somewhere that I couldn't control the heat. If anything, I tend to keep the house cool, so my blanket gets lots of use.
ReplyDeleteLove the Blanket!
