A very lazy Sunday

It's laundry day again. I find that doing laundry on Sundays fits in very well with my preference to spend Sundays not doing much at all.

The snow has melted a lot this week, and I again hung my clothes outside. This time I got them outside a lot earlier, and they dried outside. My main reason for hanging clothes outside isn't convenience (obviously), or energy conservation, or that "fresh off the line" smell, or that I like my towels like sandpaper. My main reason is that all of the clothes are dry at roughly the same time. When I use the dryer, my hang to dry clothes don't actually dry until Tuesday morning. The other thing I liked about it is that I can take the clothes off the line in order. For example, all of the pants come off the line at the same time. That makes putting the clothes away easier.

Other than cooking and laundry, I didn't do much today. I'm really sick of having a cold every couple of weeks. I hope this is a short one.

  1. I'm sorry Colette, but what do you mean by this phrase, "my hang to dry clothes don't actually dry until Tuesday morning."?

  2. Let me see if I can explain. If I hang the clothes outside, everything dries the same day. However, if I use the dryer, some clothes still have to hang to dry (sweaters, for example). The basement is cold, so if I hang clothes to dry on Sunday, they aren't dry on Monday morning. In other words, I can't wear them until Tuesday. Does that make sense?
