Strike!

Today I went 10-pin bowling. It took a while to adjust to - if you can make out my scores in the picture to the left (middle row), you can see that I got a total of 3 points for the first 4 frames ... and then a strike in the final frame. It helped once I realized that the 8-pound ball worked best for me. (I did better in the second game - 3 strikes - but that picture is too blurry to be useful.)

Anyway, it was a good time, and I would definitely be open to doing it again someday.

  1. Woah - you've never been 10-pin bowling? I love it...if I could bowl every weekend or join a league or something, I totally would! Unfortunately, there are zero alleys in downtown Toronto...

  2. Are you stiff too Colette, or is it just me?

  3. 10-pin bowling is one of those things I have wanted to do for a while but never actually got around to doing. It's been on the list all year, and I finally got around to doing it at the end of November. I really enjoyed it, though.

And no, Connie, I'm not stiff today.

  4. Even though I'm a seasoned bowler I've injured myself while bowling. Quite often. I have a unique way of holding the ball, so I always bruise/lacerate my middle finger.
