For most of my time in Ottawa, I worked for a large high-tech company. I worked at a couple of different locations, both somewhat isolated from the rest of the city. My new job is located in a neighbourhood where walking to various businesses is possible.
When I started my current job, I was surprised to find out that we get paid by paycheque - i.e. I have to go to the bank every 2 weeks and deposit a physical paycheque. (I didn't realize anyone still did that).
Today I walked to the bank to deposit my paycheque.
