Today I attempted to make a Toothbrush Bracelet. It did not work out - basically, I was unable to get it warm enough to bend. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes.

For every day in 2008, I did something new. In 2016, I am challenging myself to break my routine at least once a week.
The instructions seem suspicious. I think you need more than boiling water to melt plastic that tough.
ReplyDeleteLiving with Colette has certainly been interesting. Sometimes everything is quite commonplace, and sometimes you walk into the kitchen to find a steaming toothbrush in a pan on the stove. When she asks what you are doing, your only response is "What are YOU doing?" with the appropriate note of puzzled bewilderment. When she tells you, you can't even ask why she is making a toothbrush bracelet because you know it because hadn't done anything else that was new that day and hasn't thought of anything better to do. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI was espeically suspicious since it explicitely says to stop boiling the water once you have the toothbrush in it. And clearly it did not work.
ReplyDeleteSon #1 had to mold a mouth guard for rugby a couple of years ago. It was made out of much softer plastic, and I believe he had to boil it for several minutes before he could mold it!
