I don't regularly watch a lot of TV. However, now that scripted TV is coming back, two of the 4 programs that I do watch fall between 8 & 9 on Mondays. Normally this is the kind of problem that time shifting would solve, but How I Met Your Mother doesn't seem to be on later - and I want to watch Bones when I get home from Irish dancing, so I don't want to timeshift it.
All of this is a roundabout way of saying that today I watched a TV program over the internet. (How I Met Your Mother, obviously.)
There were a few places where the sound & video paused for a few seconds, but overall it wasn`t bad. My biggest problem was that I kept wanting to check my e-amil or play freecell or something since I was sitting in front of the computer anyway.

Welcome to my world! I can't believe this is the first time you watched tv over the internet but I guess it makes sense. Where did you watch HIMYM online? Last nights Bones still isn't on Yahoo! so that's sad.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering... How come you don't tape one program and watch the other, and then watch the taped program when you have the time?
ReplyDeleteGood question. There are 2 reasons:
ReplyDelete1) I have digital cable, so I can't watch one channel and tape the other, and
2) I have dance class on Monday nights, so I'm not even home. :)
I did this for the first time a little while ago, too. I think I did something else on that day so I didn't count it on my blog. I watched an episode of South Park that wasn't even going to be aired for weeks.
